The Award Ceremony of the 17th Special Book Award of China Was Held in Beijing
On June 18, the Award Ceremony of the 17th Special Book Award of China was held in Beijing. This year’s ceremony honored 15 winners from 12 countries. The awardees have long focused on China’s development, deeply researched Chinese culture, and translated, published, and created numerous high-quality books about China. They have elucidated Xi Jinping’s Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to the international community and told compelling stories of the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese people. Their outstanding contributions have enhanced the international community’s understanding of China and promoted the exchange and mutual learning between civilizations.
The Special Book Award of China, established in 2005, is the highest foreign-related award in the publishing industry within the framework of national honors. To date, it has recognized 203 translators, publishers, and writers from 63 countries.
