Award nominations over the years have included multiple nods for performances in movies that deal with Alzheimers disease—however， they havent all hit the mark with people who have been affected by the condition in real life.

In this American movie based on Lisa Genovas 2007 bestselling book of the same name， Julianne Moore stars as Alice Howland， a professor diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimers disease.

Movies can help you learn about Alzheimers disease， but they can also be misleading. Many films fail to accurately depict the physical symptoms of Alzheimers.

That said， you can still enjoy these heart-touching movies as long as know what they are—fiction and not necessarily fact.
