Tsinghua University Press Launches a Series of Excellent Popular Science Books on “Basic Frontier Science History” for Teenagers

Recently， a series of excellent popular science books “Basic Frontier Science History” launched by Tsinghua University Press have officially hit the shelf across the board！
This series of popular science books are written by five Chinese scientists working at the front line of scientific research. Relying on their professional fields， they devoted themselves to writing this series of popular science books for one year. This series of popular science books involves the history of material science， life science， space science， brain science， and quantum science， and demonstrates the outstanding contributions of Chinese scientists in these fields in recent years.
Jin Yong， an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor at Tsinghua University， prefaced this series of books. He believes that this series of books has provided new ideas for the publishing mode， topic selection， and creation of popular science books for teenagers. He hopes that this series of books， “Basic Frontier Science History，” will open a door for teenagers to the topic of science and technology， help them fasten the first button to the cause of science and technology， and make steady progress in the new journey of building a powerful modern socialist country in an all-round way.
It is said that since December 16， 2022， The Origin of Tsinghua University Press has planned and organized a series of live broadcast public welfare events， to which the authors of this series of popular science books and six Chinese scientists from the creative team were invited. They led readers on a journey of knowledge， which started with solving the mystery of aging， learning about the evolution of the human brain， exploring the secrets of the brain-computer interface， and getting an insight into the universe.
