According to China Manned Space Engineering Office （CMSEO）， the Shenzhou-14 crewed spaceship was launched at 10：44 a.m. sharp on June 5， 2022. Three astronauts， Chen Dong （commander）， Liu Yang， and Cai Xuzhe will carry out the manned mission of the Shenzhou-14 crewed spaceship.
In this manned mission of the Shenzhou-14 crewed spaceship， Liu Yang， the No. 2 astronaut， is China’s first female astronaut to travel to outer space. This time， she went into outer space as a member of the first batch of astronauts in the construction stage of China Space Station. It has been just ten years since her last space travel.
Liu Yang， who participated in the manned mission of Shenzhou-9 crewed spaceship， starts her space travel again ten years later. In the camera， she looks determined and smiles gently as always， but looks calmer and more confident than she was ten years ago.
In the past ten years， Liu Yang has got many new identities： she has become a mother and a part-time vice president of the All-China Women’s Federation; in 2018， she was named “Role Model of the Times” by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.
