話題寫作之“描述地點”

【寫作話題】

本單元圍繞“The Neighborhood”話題，讓學生學會描述各種街區(qū)設施、建筑物、地理位置，同時能夠正確描述到達某一地點的路線。在寫作中要正確使用相關的方位介詞，問路指路的句型。命題方式有看圖作文，提示性作文等。

【寫作素材】

Structures

A： Excuse me. Is there a hospital near here？

B： Yes， there is. Its on Bridge Street.

A： Is there a restaurant near the hotel？

B： Yes. Go along New Street. Turn right at the first crossing and the restaurant is on your left， across from the pay phone.

【實踐寫作】

假如你叫Mike，你的朋友Lucy明天要到你所在的城市，但是你沒有時間去機場接他。請給她發(fā)一封電子郵件，告訴她怎樣從機場到你家。要求包括下面的要點，不少于60詞。

提示：1. 先乘出租車從機場到和平路;

2. 沿著和平路走，經(jīng)過一家超市后向右拐;

3. 穿過第八大街，當看到一個郵局時，向右拐。這時你能看見一座紅色的房子，那就是我的家。

【思路點撥】

1. 首先說明“你沒有時間去機場接Lucy”，并引起下文，告訴她“從機場到你家”的路線;

2. 本文重點是寫三個要點提示的內(nèi)容，可單獨一段;

3. 使用first，then等詞語，使行文條理清晰;

4. 注意正確使用go along， turn right等指路的英語表達方式。

Dear Lucy，

Im very sorry to tell you that I cant pick you up tomorrow， because I have to go to my office， but let me tell you how to get to my home.

First， you can take a taxi at the airport to Heping Road. Then go along Heping Road， turn right when you pass a supermarket. Go through the Eighth Street and youll see a post office. Just turn right there， a red house will be in front of you. Thats my house and my parents will meet you there.
