An Unforgettable Spring Festival 難忘的春節(jié)

In my hometown， every time the Spring Festival comes， almost everyone is busy preparing the essential things early， such as red lanterns， firecrackers， and so on.

The most important thing in each family of Jinan is to make Suguo byfamilies together. As a traditional food in Jinan， it is a symbol of a well-off family. Here is how it works： First， prepare Chinese cabbages， kelp， lotus root， meat， fish， vinegar， salt， sugar and sauce. Second， put all the ingredients into a deep pot; Meat is laid on the bottom of the pot， with vegetables laid on top of each other. Third， cover Chinese cabbages on the top. Finally， simmer the pot of ingredients for one day.

The the most important time is the New Year's Eve， called “Mang Nian” at my hometown. As for my family， my mother， good at cleaning， is responsible for cleaning and decorating the house. My handwriting is great， so I write many antithetical couplets. My father always displays an excellent “cooking show" in the kitchen with my grandma.

Every Spring Festival， my grandparents give me a big red envelope as new year's gif. And I kowtow to them in returm. That's an old custom in Shandong. The old hope to bring good luck to the children with red envelopes， and the children express their gratitude and blessings with grand etiqutte. I love my grandparents and I wish them happy and healthy forever.

When night falls， we eat family reunion dinner on the lunar Spring Festival's Eve together. Like most Chinese families， we also watch the Spring Festival Gala on CcTV. In traditional Chinese culture，itis necessary to stay up late in the New Year， so we don't go to bed until 12 o'clock. On the first day of the new year， we still get up very early because we will pay a New Year call. Last Spring Festival was the most special one for me. I stayed at home during the whole festival without meeting any friends and relatives. However that's also the most meaningful Spring Festival for me. My family and I were touched by those on the front lines fighting the novel coronavirus every moment. Because of the fightagainst CovD-19， the gala oflast year was very special-No audience， no laughter. But all the actors and actresses expressed their wishes to Wuhan sincerely. We hoped everyone could be happy and healthy in 2020. Due to the requirement of epidemic prevention， we couldn't visit our neighbors， relatives and friends. However， we stil sent our New Yearwishes on the phone， and WeChat. All the Chinese people were together！

This was my Spring Festival in 2020. It was really an unforgettable Spring Festival.
