Yao Ming is a famous basketball player inNBA. He was born in Shanghai on September 12th ,1980, and his favourite city is Shanghai. He once lived inHouston, USA, because he played forHouston Rocketsat that time. Now he lives in Shanghai.

姚明是美國職業(yè)籃球聯(lián)賽(NBA)著名的籃球運(yùn)動(dòng)員。他1980年9 月12 日出生在上海，他最喜歡的城市是上海。他曾經(jīng)住在美國休斯頓，因?yàn)槟菚r(shí)他效力于休斯頓火箭隊(duì)?，F(xiàn)在他住在上海。

When Yao Ming was a boy, he liked to play basketball.Actually, he enjoyed playing basketball. At that time, he played basketball several hours every day. And hemadegreaterprogress.Then, he started playing basketball for theShanghai Sharksas ateenager, and played on theirseniorteam for five years in the China Basketball Association(CBA), winning achampionshipin hisfinalyear.

姚明小時(shí)候喜歡打籃球。實(shí)際上，他享受打籃球。那時(shí)，他每天打幾個(gè)小時(shí)的籃球。他取得了更大的進(jìn)步。后來，十幾歲的時(shí)候，他進(jìn)入上海東方大鯊魚青年隊(duì)打籃球，后進(jìn)入他們的高級別球隊(duì)在中國男子籃球職業(yè)聯(lián)賽（CBA）打了五年，在姚明效力大鯊魚隊(duì)的最后一年，贏得了冠軍賽。

Yao Ming entered the 2002 NBADraftand wasselectedby the Huston Rockets as the first overall pick of the draft. Soon he became aprofessionalbasketball player who played for the Huston Rockets of the NBA. And he was the tallest player in the NBA, at 2.29m.

姚明參加了2002 年NBA 選秀，被休斯頓火箭隊(duì)列為那場選秀第一人選。很快他就成了職業(yè)籃球運(yùn)動(dòng)員，為NBA 休斯頓火箭隊(duì)效力。他是NBA 中最高的球員，身高2.29 米。

Yao Ming’s favourite colour is blue, but he wears red or white vests in basketball matches, and his favourite animal is dog.

姚明最喜歡的顏色是藍(lán)色，但他在籃球比賽中穿紅色或白色的背心，他最喜歡的動(dòng)物是狗。
