Known as the Earths twin， Venus is similar to our planet in many ways. Both are about the same size， both have cloudy air， and both share some of the same landscape features： mountains， plains， and high plateaus. Why is Venus so hot？ The answer lies in its thick air， the densest in our solar system. Thick yellow clouds fill the planet. The clouds get the suns heat in Venuss air， so the planet is always hot. Many scientists believe that Venus once had oceans， just like the Earth， but they became air.
