Brief introduction:
Combining the festival culture and custom with the traditional Chinese virtues, these books elaborate a set of warm and beautiful fairy tales which are both inherited and innovative. Seven major Chinese festivals of intangible cultural heritage are presented in these books:" Spring Festival," Lantern Festival," Tomb-Sweeping Festival," Dragon Boat Festival," Qixi Festival," Mid-Autumn Festival and" Chongyang Festival. Choosing these seven representative festivals listed in the intangible cultural heritage as the starting point will bring the charm of traditional Chinese culture to the world. The series is based on Chinese traditional virtues such as patriotism, kindness, helping people, filial obedience and so on. It tells seven fairy tales that not only inherit and carry forward Chinese traditional culture, but are also full of thoughts, fun and contemporary ideas.
The protagonists of the story are Tuantuan and Yuanyuan, the twins. The story focuses on the daily life of the twins, and naturally adds the legend of the festival into it, which brings a sense of identification and appropriateness to the readers. The story not only preserves the mysterious and distant meaning in the legend but also pays special attention to the children’s interests and imagination. This set of books contains many festival gifts such as lanterns, handmade dragons, handmade fireworks, couplets, red envelopes and so on, so that children can feel the traditional Chinese custom and strong kinship in interactive games, promoting the culture of the festival.
