Foucault’s thought originated primarily from the French history of science and German philosophy. His thought on cultural boundary agreed with the idea of post-modernist critique of rationality, deconstruction of subjectivity, and the liberation of man and social progress advocated by the Enlightenment. His notion of discontinuous history was a negation of historical continuity of rationalism. However, the history of science is after all a “history”, and it is impossible to conduct research on a history without continuity. To solve this problem, Foucault divided history into fragmentary periods, as can be seen from hisTheOrderofThings. Later, under the pressure of criticism, he decided to move from archeological analysis to genealogical inquiry. He began to use such concepts as “creation” to discuss issues essentially related to “origin”. Foucault’s thought can be divided into two phases with Mai 68 as the watershed. Methodologically, it evolved from constructionism to deconstructionism; in terms of his opinions, it moved from the subversion of rationality and subjectivity to an emphasis on the role of power.DisciplineandPunishmentand the second and third volumes ofTheHistoryofSexualitypresented a loop of his thought: deconstruction of subject, studies on power, and studies on subject. In a sense, Foucault changed Heidegger’s “being in the world” into “being in the order of power and knowledge”, thus strengthening the historical and social circumstances of man’s being, which paved the way for the rise of Bourdieu’s field theory and neo-historicism.

Rawls’ theory of justice as fairness implies that the basis of equality is “conception of the person”. To Rawls, “conception of the person” is a normative rather than metaphysical concept, which expresses a conception of the political person of freedom, equality, ration and reason (conception of citizenship). Specifically, fromATheoryofJustice,PoliticalLiberalism, toJusticeasFairness, conception of the person is thinned into a political conception of the person. And the conception of person means that people maintain their ability to criticize the political system by reflective equilibrium. In this process, Rawls accomplished a methodological turn from Kant’s constructivism to political constructivism.

Opinions are divided on the Chinese for “a nation ofpropriety”: is it a nation of Yi(義) or Yi (儀)?It is agreed that Yi(義) as the old word for Yi (儀)means “morals” and “etiquette” before the invention of Yi (儀), but not any more now in that Yi (儀) was created to refer to “etiquette”. For this reason, we believe that a nation of Yi (儀) seems entirely plausible because etiquette requires that people act on moral principles.

It is not uncommon to find an awareness of potential risks in the culture of Xizhou Dynasty, which later developed into a spirit of the Chinese nation. The awareness originates from the awe at Heaven’s mandate, the fear for unknown future and concern for changes. As the image of an ideal man, Junzi (a person with integrity) has an awareness of risks, which is in essence a sense of responsibility for the society and the nation but not for his life satisfaction.

Yanfu’s idea on power and morals has guided the development of ethics in China in the early 20thcentury. It falls into two ethical dimensions:power and morals. The former means a free spirit, science and democracy; the latter is a unity of private conduct and public spirit. Starting from the two categories of “group” and “self”, Yanfu developed his ethical theory where power, morals, private conduct, public spirit, personal right and national interests all weave together in hope of helping save the nation from subjugation and ensure its survival.

As a response to capital globalization, Marxist theory of new imperialism backed Lenin’s traditional imperialism theory: the geopolitical competition is getting fierce with the development of capitalism. However, Marxist theory was not a simple copy of it; instead, it proposed capitalistic logic and territorial logic. Marxist theory opposed economic reductionism and refused to provide a trans-historical framework which applied to all societies. Given this, this theory includes ideas about the complexity of politics, the influence of capitalistic logic upon geopolitics and the impact of capital globalization on imperialism.

The data shows that the economic cooperation between China and the United States has been changing significantly. Based on this, this paper builds a Sino-US trade model under the open economy. Model parameters are derived from the maximum likelihood estimates for quarterly data from the two countries. We have the numerical simulation results as follows. 1. China’s technological progress and investment expansion have a greater impact on US economic development than the US’s impact on China. Although this effect is negative in the short term, it is positive in a long run. 2. With the increasing degree of US technology spillover, China’s technological progress will have a positive impact on the economic development of the two countries and will significantly increase the welfare level of the two countries, and meanwhile will increase the unemployment rate of the two countries. 3. With the increase in US investment spillovers, the negative impact of China’s investment expansion on the US economic development is increasing, reducing the welfare level of the US residents, but the impact on the US employment rate is positive. Based on this, we offer suggestions for policy makers.

Since the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was put forward, regional interconnection has become the focus of China’s cooperation with the BRI countries. The power interconnection and investment is not only the forerunner of the infrastructure construction in the “Belt and Road” region, but also an important practice of the global energy interconnection concept. The countries along the “Belt and Road” vary in economy, infrastructure and resources, which poses challenges to the construction of the power interconnection investment market. This paper first establishes an investment risk assessment model from the three dimensions of politics, economy and technology, then determines the index weight by the principal component analysis method and finally evaluates the investment risk of China to countries along the “Belt and Road”. This research can be helpful for the Chinese government and the enterprises with their investment in the countries along the “Belt and Road”.

Based on the panel data of the listed tourism companies from 2010 to 2016,this paper adopts factor analysis to evaluate the tourism performance of the listed companies in recent 7 years. Then, it introduces the factor diagnosis model to analyze the obstacle factors in tourism listed companies’ performance. The results show that the performance of tourism listed companies is not satisfying and actually becoming polarized. The biggest obstacle factors are the slow growth of operating income and the low efficiency of the use of fixed assets. Therefore, tourism listed companies need to improve their management efficiency of enterprise assets, expand their financing channels and provide better tourism experience for their customers.

Traditional migration research emphasizes the geo-social support of the migration and its geo-aggregation, but lacks a comprehensive analysis of the geo-aggregation factors in the migration. Based on the proportion of labor inflows in the Fifth National Census Data of China, this paper establishes a population of two metropolitan areas, i.e., the Guangdong, Zhejiang and Fujian coastal area, and the non-inflow metropolitan area, in order to explore the regional influence on the network relationship of migrants and its different performance in the two networks. By comparing the characteristics of the two networks, it finds that the regional influence is different in the performance of the two networks: it is stronger in the non-inflow provinces, the characteristics of which are strong intra-provincial links and weak inter-provincial connections; contrary to this, the regional performance of inflow provinces is weak, the characteristics of which are strong inter-provincial links and weak intra-provincial connections. After examining the factors of regional and dialect culture, it confirms that these differences arise from the different social and economic dynamic mechanisms of the two networks.

As a major national strategy, new urbanization has an important impact on urban residents’ consumption as it involves changes in migration, industrial development and equality. Based on the panel data of 28 provincial administrative regions, this paper analyzes how new urbanization affects the consumption of urban residents from the perspective of the purchasing power of the private sector and the public sector, that is, the income change channel and the public expenditure channel. The research shows that new urbanization can promote consumption growth through direct effects and indirect effects. The indirect effect of the income change channel is stronger than the direct effect; among the three types of income change channels, the new urbanization indirectly promotes the growth of urban consumption through the income effect, while the wealth effect and distribution effect have little impact on consumption. The indirect effect of the public expenditure channel is significant in promoting the positive impact of new urbanization on the consumption of urban residents, and its intensity is higher than that of the direct effect.

Opinions on the criminalization of folk usury has been divided, which in essence is the conflict between interest rate marketization and interest rate supervision. The judicial organs vacillate between guilt and innocence. At present, lending behavior is convicted on charges of illegal business crimes and other crimes such as illegal debt collection and excess profits. In the absence of criminal legislation on usury, there coexists the excessiveness and insufficiency in dealing with usury, which also shows a separation between criminal and civil law in this field. To keep the consistency of legal order, we suggest that usury should be defined as a combination of specific behavior and illegal excess profits, which will improve the connection between the criminal law and the civil law.

The ambiguity in analogy, analogy-interpretation and analogy-application prevents us from telling what is prohibited under the principle of “prohibition of analogy”. Basically, the essence of analogy is “identity in diversity”. Under the scope of law and based on functions, analogy works in the two dimensions of legal discovery measure and legal loophole closing technique. Nothing goes against the principle of Nulla poena sine lege more than the overstepping of criminal jurisdiction on criminal legislation or violation of criminal jurisdiction on civil rights. Therefore, what is prohibited by criminal law should be the analogy as legal loophole closing technique because only such analogy can cause these adverse consequence.Since not all analogies are prohibited in criminal law, the possible range of literary meanings of criminal law and the normative types of criminal law shall be the standard for distinguishing permitted-analogy and prohibited-analogy.

We believe that it is simply the result of a technical difficulty. Apart from that, underdeveloped naturalism, high cost and risk in innovation can also explain its longstanding existence.

They claimed that by changing the theatre itself, they could change the audiences and,ultimately, the mass.
