《義務(wù)教育階段英語(yǔ)課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)》要求英語(yǔ)閱讀教學(xué)要引導(dǎo)學(xué)生對(duì)語(yǔ)篇的深層思考,不僅要與文本進(jìn)行情感的交流與體驗(yàn),還要與文本作者進(jìn)行“對(duì)話”,從而完成語(yǔ)言知識(shí)與語(yǔ)言信息思維價(jià)值的構(gòu)建,讓核心素養(yǎng)融入英語(yǔ)課堂,使閱讀課成為“悅讀”課。
本節(jié)閱讀課的內(nèi)容是音樂(lè)劇《The Sound of Music》的故事梗概,故事說(shuō)的是主人公Maria受雇于Von Trapp 家,作為七個(gè)孩子的家庭教師,她認(rèn)真教會(huì)孩子們唱歌,表演滑稽的短劇,使失去母親的孩子們重新獲得快樂(lè)的故事。本課的情感目標(biāo)是學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)欣賞《The Sound of Music》影片中的經(jīng)典英文歌曲和情節(jié),學(xué)習(xí)主人公Maria積極樂(lè)觀的生活態(tài)度。文化意識(shí)是學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)欣賞和討論優(yōu)秀影視作品,并從中學(xué)習(xí)主人公積極正能量。為了達(dá)成上述教學(xué)目標(biāo),主講教師設(shè)計(jì)了以引領(lǐng)學(xué)生探究文本主題意義為主線的教學(xué)活動(dòng)以及與之相對(duì)應(yīng)的問(wèn)題鏈。[1]
T:Do you like music? Why ? Ss: Yes. It can make me happy/ relaxed/ comfortable...
在記憶層面,主講教師先引入“音樂(lè)”話題,讓學(xué)生說(shuō)說(shuō)喜歡音樂(lè)的理由,再導(dǎo)入《The Sound of Music》中著名的《Do-re-mi》歌曲視頻,以“先聲奪人”的方式建立學(xué)生與電影主人公初次“鏈接”。
T:What’s the story mainly about? Who’s the main role? Ss: It is mainly about a young woman from Austria. Maria is the main role. T:Why did Maria go to the Von Trapp family?What happened to the family? Ss: The mother Mrs. Von Trapp died. So the family were very sad and tired. The father was lonely and often became angry with the children. T:How did Maria cheer the family up? Ss: She taught the children to sing lovely songs and to perform short funny plays. The father was almost mad but the smiling faces of the children make him happy again.
理解層面,主講老師結(jié)合圖片,采用問(wèn)題鏈來(lái)幫助學(xué)生分層次理解文本。主講教師關(guān)注問(wèn)題之間的坡度和關(guān)聯(lián)度,選擇了推動(dòng)故事情節(jié)的設(shè)問(wèn),從what,who,why,how等問(wèn)題來(lái)引導(dǎo)學(xué)生結(jié)合文本信息進(jìn)行思考,并深入理解故事發(fā)展的脈絡(luò),讓學(xué)生保持閱讀動(dòng)力。
T:If you are one of the children, what do you think of Maria? Ss: She is kind / lovely... She is good at singing. T:What’s the main character of Maria? Ss: She is brave/ active/ nice... T:What do you think of the film? Ss: Wonderful./Good... T:Good job,if you like the film, you can say it's interesting, wonderful or exciting or great. What can you learn from the movie?
從上面教學(xué)片斷看出,主講老師讓學(xué)生角色扮演 Maria,感知她善良開朗、活潑不拘束的性格,提出“What do you think of Maria?” ,學(xué)生各抒己見說(shuō)出了他們各自迥然不同的感受,接著教師依據(jù)學(xué)生的回答進(jìn)行追問(wèn),為什么會(huì)有這樣的感受? 這樣的“追問(wèn)”無(wú)疑是實(shí)現(xiàn)“有效學(xué)習(xí)”的重要方式,通過(guò)追問(wèn),學(xué)生不知不覺(jué)便進(jìn)入到文本中去,對(duì)文本的體悟更加深入。這些問(wèn)題的設(shè)計(jì)培養(yǎng)學(xué)生應(yīng)用和分析的思維能力。
T:Which translation of the title do you like best? What’s your favorite movie? Write an e-mail to your friend to introduce your favorite movie.
評(píng)價(jià)和創(chuàng)造層面活動(dòng)的設(shè)置是對(duì)語(yǔ)篇整體解讀后的遷移、創(chuàng)新活動(dòng),是引導(dǎo)學(xué)生感情的進(jìn)一步升華。主講教師首先讓學(xué)生談?wù)勛钕矚g的譯名,如葡萄牙是 《心靈深處的音樂(lè)》,泰國(guó)是《天樂(lè)的魅力》,臺(tái)灣是《真善美》等。接著,主講教師結(jié)合學(xué)生實(shí)際情況,布置學(xué)生向朋友介紹自己喜歡的電影的任務(wù)。學(xué)生根據(jù)任務(wù)有效表達(dá)個(gè)人觀點(diǎn)、情感和態(tài)度,感知和理解中西方文化的異同,這樣的問(wèn)題鏈有效發(fā)展了學(xué)生的多元化思維。
在英語(yǔ)閱讀課堂教學(xué)中,教師可以根據(jù)這六個(gè)思維框架巧妙設(shè)問(wèn)。根據(jù)對(duì)文本意義的理解,豐富問(wèn)題設(shè)計(jì),使問(wèn)題多樣化、多元化,并由淺入深,層層遞進(jìn),培養(yǎng)學(xué)生從中階思維到高階思維的思維提升,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生積極思考,從而更有效地、有深度地學(xué)習(xí)并形成英語(yǔ)學(xué)科素養(yǎng)和學(xué)科思維品質(zhì)[2]。
