其楓
A horse walked into an expensive restaurant. The waiter came up to him.
“Good evening,” he said.
“I'd like a table for one, please,” the horse said.
“Have you made a reservation1?” the waiter asked.
“Yes,” the horse said, “I phoned. My name is Running Boy.”
“Of course,” the waiter said. “This way, please, Running Boy.”
He led2 the horse to a good table by the window. The horse sat down and the waiter gave him the menu.
“I'd like a steak3, please,” the horse said. “Well-done4 with a potato and salad.”
“Certainly,” the waiter said, and went away.
A few minutes later he returned with the meal and put it on the table in front of the horse.
“Enjoy your meal,” he said to the horse and walked away.
The horse ate the meal, and enjoyed it very much. Then he asked the waiter for the bill.
When the waiter gave it to him, the horse said, “You must think it's very unusual—a horse coming into your restaurant and ordering5 a steak well-done.”
“Not at all,” the waiter said. “I like it cooked that way myself.”
