The Fish and Chip Shop 炸魚薯條店

This boy has been at the playground. When he was there， he saw his neighbor walking her dog. She said that there was a good place for lunch around the corner1 of the street.

這個男孩一直在操場上玩。他在那里，看見鄰居在遛狗，她說街角處有個吃午飯的好地方。

The boy set out to find the fish and chip shop around the corner.

男孩出發(fā)去尋找在拐角處的炸魚薯條店。

His neighbor was right！It looked like a nice and clean place to stop in for lunch.

他的鄰居是對的！它看起來是個不錯的干凈地方，可以順路進去吃午飯。

He has heard about how good this place is. The boy saw some meals on the counter2 ready to go out to tables. The food looked and smelled3 so delicious！

男孩聽人說過這個地方非常好。他看到柜臺上有些飯菜準備端出來，這些食物看起來和聞起來都很好吃！

He heard a clamour4 to the side. A man was there taking the chips out of a box. He put the chips on a plate， then he is standing there ready to take the next order.

他聽到旁邊一聲喊叫，一個人在那里從大盒子里拿薯條。他把薯條放在盤子里，然后站在那里準備下一道菜。

The boy likes the look of a lot of things on the menu5， but he ordered a few. The man wrote down his order on a bit of paper.

The first thing that he picked was a fish burger. The man asked what flavors6 he liked so that he could help him to get. The man was very helpful.

Next he ordered a large serving of chips. The man said that he would have to work hard to get through that much. The boy thought that he could do it.

接著他點了一大份薯條。那人說他得努力吃才能吃完這么多。男孩覺得自己能吃完。

He has finished with his order， so he handed the money over to the man. He told him the place that he would sit. The man gave him some chicken fingers7 for free！How nice. The boy tried the burger. It was wonderful. He tasted the flavor. He has not had a burger this good in a while.

他已經(jīng)點好了餐，所以把錢交給了那個人，告訴他自己要坐的地方。那人免費給了他一些雞爪！人真好。男孩試吃了漢堡，太棒了。他嘗著這個味道，他已經(jīng)好一陣子沒吃過這么好吃的漢堡了。

He has almost eaten everything up. He would have the last two bits so that he wasnt wasting anything. He would go to the park for a nap， but first he would clean up.

他幾乎把所有東西都吃光了。他馬上就會吃完最后兩口，這樣他就不會浪費任何東西。他將去公園小睡一會兒，但首先要收拾一下。

The boy took his trash8 to the bin9 and brings his plate up to the counter. The man thanked him. He said that he was a great customer10.

男孩把垃圾扔到垃圾桶里，把盤子端到柜臺上。那人謝謝他，說他是個很好的顧客。

Back out into the neighborhood， the boy would come back to this place. Next time he might even bring some of his friends so that they can try the fish and chip shop.

回到自家街區(qū)之后，男孩還會去這個地方。下一次他甚至會帶幾個朋友來，讓他們?nèi)ミ@家炸魚薯條店試試。
