Ancient Egyptians（古埃及人）believed that?the soul（靈魂）could return（重返）if the body was?preserved（保存）. So they created（發(fā)明）a way to?preserve the bodies.

First， they put the bodies into salt water. After?40 days， they took out the bodies to dry. Then， they?filled the bodies with spices（香料）. Finally， they?wrapped（包裹）the bodies with cloth（布）.
