It can sometimes be scary to ask a teacher for help. You may not know the right way to approach the teacher or even what to say. However， if you use the following strategies， you can ask a teacher for help more easily.

有時向老師求助會讓人覺得害怕。你可能不知道該如何接近老師，甚至不知道該說什么。但是，如果你使用以下這些策略，你能更容易地向老師尋求幫助。

Try problem-solving first. When possible， try to figure out the solution to your problem on your own before you ask your teacher for help. Teachers like it when students try to solve problems before asking for help.

Try to use your resources. For example， see if the answer to your question is in your textbook or notes.

Some teachers tell students to phone a friend or ask another student for help before asking the teacher.

先嘗試解決問題。如果可能的話，在向老師求助之前，試著自己找出解決問題的方法。老師喜歡學(xué)生在尋求幫助前先嘗試自己解決問題。

試著利用你的資源。例如，看看問題的答案是否在你的課本或者筆記里。

有些老師建議，學(xué)生在問老師之前打電話給朋友或向其他學(xué)生尋求幫助。

勇敢點。很多時候，人們不求助是因為他們害怕自己看起來很愚蠢或?qū)擂?。事實是，如果你試圖解決問題，你仍然需要幫助，所以勇敢地向你的老師求助吧。

深呼吸，提醒自己向老師尋求幫助是成熟的表現(xiàn)。對自己說：“尋求幫助意味著我已經(jīng)成熟了。當(dāng)我有什么不懂的時候，我就應(yīng)該這么做?！?/p>

你也可以提醒自己，“可能還有其他人也有同樣的問題，但害怕去問。所以我會勇敢地去問。”

Be brave. A lot of times people wont ask for help because they are afraid they will look stupid or embarrass themselves. The truth is， if youve tried to solve problems， but you still need help， then be brave and ask your teacher.

Take a deep breath and remind yourself that asking your teacher for help is a mature1 thing to do. Say to yourself， “Asking for help means Im mature. Its what I should do when I dont understand.”

You can also remind yourself， “Theres probably someone else that has the same question， but afraid to ask. So Ill be brave and ask.”

Get your teachers attention the right way. Yelling “I need help” or just blurting2 out your question while your teacher is talking is not the best way to get your teachers attention. For example， raise your hand or use the signal your teacher taught you for getting their attention.

Sometimes you may need to approach your teacher to get their attention. If you do， politely say “Excuse me.”

以正確的方式引起老師的注意。在老師說話的時候大聲喊“我需要幫助”，或者脫口而出你的問題，并不是吸引老師注意的最好方法。例如，你可以舉手或使用老師教你的手勢來吸引他們的注意力。

Tell your teacher what you need to help with. Teachers know a lot of things， and sometimes seem like they can read your mind. You just need to let them know exactly what you need help with.

You can start by saying something like， “Mr. Golden， could you help me with the fourth discussion question？” Then you can be more specific. For example， “I dont understand what the second part of the question is asking.”

告訴你的老師你需要什么幫助。老師知道很多事情，有時看起來就像他們能讀懂你的想法。你只需要讓他們知道你到底需要什么樣的幫助。

Dont ask your teacher for the answers. That doesnt help you learn and most teachers wont just give you the answer anyway. Instead， ask your teacher for help finding the answer or remembering the steps to find the answer. This will help you figure out similar questions.

For example， instead of asking， “Whats the main topic of this passage？” You could ask， “How do I find the main topic of a passage？”

不要問老師答案是什么。這并不能幫助你學(xué)習(xí)，而且大多數(shù)老師也不會給你答案。相反，要請你的老師幫你去找到答案或記住找到答案的步驟。這將幫助你解決類似的問題。

例如，不要問“這篇文章的主題是什么？”你可以問，“我該如何找到一篇文章的主題？”

Listen to the response. It doesnt do any good to ask a teacher for help if you arent going to really listen to their answer. Paying attention to your teachers answer will get you the help you need with your schoolwork.

Dont get impatient， if their answer turns into a mini-lesson. Your teacher is just trying to help you and make sure you understand.

Ask more questions if you dont understand.

傾聽回答。如果你不是真的想聽老師的回答，那就沒必要向老師求助。注意聽老師的回答對你的學(xué)業(yè)有助。

如果他們的回答變成了一堂小課，不要不耐煩。老師只是想幫助你，保證你能理解。

如果沒理解，你可以多問幾個問題。
