寧波天一閣是中國(guó)現(xiàn)存歷史最悠久、亞洲最古老的私家藏書(shū)樓。新建古籍庫(kù)房擴(kuò)建工程，繼承天一閣的空間處理手法，設(shè)置了以藏書(shū)功能為主體、輔助及辦公功能為兩翼的3個(gè)南北向院落組，表達(dá)天一閣建筑群的生長(zhǎng)和延續(xù)。

Ningbo Tianyi Pavilion is currently the oldest private library in China and in Asia. The newlybuilt ancient book repository expansion project has three paralleled groups of courtyard (major library function as well as support and office functions)which express the growth and continuation of Tianyi Pavilion complex.
