The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats

Once upon a time, there lived a mother goat

with her seven little children.

One day, the mother had to go out to find food.She warned her children to be careful of the

bad wolf, “Don’t open the door to anyone!”

從前，有一只山羊媽媽和她的七個孩子住在一起。

一天，羊媽媽需要外出覓食。

她告誡孩子們要警惕大壞狼：“不要給任何人開門！”

When the mother had gone, the wolf

approached and knocked on the door.

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK.

The eldest child shouted, “Who’s there?”

當(dāng)山羊媽媽走后，狼來敲門了。

咚咚咚！

小羊中的大哥喊道：“誰呀？”

“It’s your mother!” replied the wolf in a rough hoarse voice.

But this voice did not belong to their mother. They shouted, “Our mother has a sweet voice! You must be the wolf! ”

“是你們的媽媽呀！”狼用粗糙沙啞的嗓音回答道。

但是這個聲音并不是媽媽的聲音。小羊們喊道：“媽媽有著甜美的嗓音！你一定是狼！”

So the wolf drank some honey to

sweeten his voice. He knocked again.

“Who’s there?” shouted the eldest child.The wolf replied with sweet voice, but

left his paw on the window.

The eldest shouted back, “Our mother

doesn’t have a black paw! We know it’s

you, wolf! ”

于是，狼為了讓自己嗓音甜美，喝下很多蜂蜜。他再次敲門。

“是誰？”小羊中的大哥問。

狼用甜美的嗓音回答了，但是他把爪子放在了窗戶上。

小羊中的大哥大喊：“我們的媽媽沒有黑色的爪子！我們知道是你，大壞狼！”

So the wolf sprinkled some flour onto his paws, and knocked again.

“Who’s there?” asked the eldest child. “It is your mother!” replied the wolf.

Hearing the sweet voice and seeing the

white paw, the children thought it must

be their mother, so they opened the door.

于是，狼在爪子上撒了一些面粉，再次敲門。

“誰啊？”小羊中的大哥又問。狼回答說：“是你們的媽媽啊！”

聽到甜美的嗓音，看到雪白的爪子，羊?qū)殞殏兿脒@一定是他們的媽媽了，于是打開了門。

The wolf leaped in and gobbled up them all.

Except the youngest child. She had been hiding behind an old clock.

狼一下跳進來，把他們都吞進了肚子。

除了那只最小的羊，她躲在了一座古老的鐘表后面。

The wolf became tired after eating six little goats.He fell asleep nearby a tree.

狼吃了六只小羊后疲憊不堪。他在一棵樹下睡著了。

When the mother goat came home, she

found her youngest child and knew what had happened. She quickly grabbed a pair of

scissors and cut open the wolf’s belly!

當(dāng)山羊媽媽回到家，她找到了最小的羊?qū)殞?，并且得知了發(fā)生的一切。她快速地拿起剪刀，剪開了狼的肚皮！

All six little goats jumped out. The mother was so happy that they were still alive.

Then she filled the wolf’s belly with stones and sewed it back up.

六只小羊都從狼的肚子里蹦了出來。山羊媽媽太開心了，孩子們還活著。然后她用石頭填滿狼的肚子，再重新縫合。

When the wolf woke up,

he was very thirsty. So he went to the river to drink.

狼睡醒后覺得十分口渴。于是，他到河邊去喝水。

Because his belly was too heavy, he slid into the river, and could not get back out.

The mother goat and her children went back home happily.

但是因為肚子太重，他跌進了河里，再沒能爬上來。山羊媽媽和孩子們快樂地回家了。
