The era of 5G will come soon

5G might be the hottest topic around the world these two years. It seems that people from all walks of life are interested in it, from students to professors, from workers to farmers.Then what is 5G?

Here“G”is the short form of“generation”and 5G,the next generation of wireless technology for the world will replace the current 4G system. Before 4G there were 3G，2G and so on.In one word,it is the evolution or progression of wireless technology.

Each step of technology development with the number becoming bigger (1G to 2G,3G…) means improvements in speed and allowing more people use the network.It is the same with the new 5G system. It is expected to permit more users to do more things——at a faster rate.

But at the same time, 5G offers us something different from the previous.Technology experts say it will move well beyond mobile network technology to affect many more devices and industries than other"G"versions.

5G will play a big part in helping building the future"smart cities" by connecting sensor networks. Such networks will be able to control vehicle traffic and quickly identify streetlight outages.

5G is also expected to connect self-driving cars and support new technologies involving virtual reality. It will become a common thing for doctors to do remote medical operations with the help of the higher-speed 5G.Factories and businesses could use 5G technology to increase automation and improve the collection of information.

5G可能是近兩年最熱門的世界性話題之一。各行各業(yè)的人，不管是學(xué)生、老師、工人還是農(nóng)民，似乎大家都對它感興趣。那到底什么是5G呢？

“G”是“generation”的縮寫，5G（世界下一代無線技術(shù)）將代替現(xiàn)在的4G系統(tǒng)。在4G之前是3G、2G，以此類推。用一句話概括，5G是無線技術(shù)的最新發(fā)展。

伴隨著每一次技術(shù)進步（從1G到2G、3G……），速度會更快，無線技術(shù)網(wǎng)絡(luò)容納的用戶也會增加。5G也不例外，通過這個系統(tǒng)，更多的人可以以更快的速度做更多的事。

但是同時，5G也有不同于先前“版本”的地方：技術(shù)專家說5G已經(jīng)不僅僅是移動網(wǎng)絡(luò)技術(shù)，它對很多行業(yè)和設(shè)備都會產(chǎn)生影響。

通過連接傳感網(wǎng)絡(luò)，5G在未來的“智慧城市”建設(shè)中將起到很大作用。這些網(wǎng)絡(luò)可以控制車輛通行，還可以快速發(fā)現(xiàn)街燈電路故障。

5G技術(shù)還可以把無人駕駛汽車聯(lián)系起來，同時為虛擬現(xiàn)實技術(shù)提供支持。有了更快的5G技術(shù)，醫(yī)生可以輕易地實現(xiàn)遠(yuǎn)程手術(shù)操作。5G技術(shù)還可以加快工廠和各行各業(yè)的自動化建設(shè)和信息搜集。
