I had a friend who visited me from out of town and I wanted to show him the Toronto CN Tower. It was the second tallest building on the earth.

When we got there， we went around the outside of the tower and there was the hard metal fence connected to the building to protect the visitors. We went back inside to look for the glass floor that provided a direct view （風(fēng)景） down. As soon as both of us went close to it， we stopped before walking onto it. We found that our legs began to shake.

And then I had a thought in my mind， “It is far harder compared to any other floor in this building. There is no real danger to me—its simply an illusion （幻覺）. Look at all the people standing on it. And think about those who have stood on it before.” I began to take the step onto the glass floor. But I didnt look down.
