The Tiger and the Fox

I think everybody knows the Chinese story Hu Jia Hu Wei（《狐假虎威》）. You know the fox cheated the tiger. When the tiger knew the truth， he felt very angry. He hated the fox very much. Can you imagine what will happen， when the fox meet with the tiger again？ One day， a new story happens ...

Tiger： You cheat me last time. Cheat me！ How dare you！ Now， you are dying！

Fox： Oh， unluckily！ What shall I do？ I feel very sorry for cheating you last time， but， but， but...

Tiger： But what？

Fox： But... （Looks beyond） Beautiful！

Tiger： What？

Fox： You girl friend Linda！ Look， shes over there！

Tiger： Where？ Where？ Linda， I love you！

The fox runs away quietly. The Tiger finds nobody， and when he turns back， the fox is gone. He is very angry！

Tiger： I hate fox！

After a few days， the tiger meets with the fox again. He catches the fox immediately.

Tiger： （Furiously）Now， you make a choice. You want me bite your head first or your fat leg first？

Fox： Oh， help yourself to some fox please. I hate myself， too. My mother says Im not a good boy. I always tell lies. But， they say， tiger is the strongest animal in the world. Before I die， can you show me how strong you are？

Tiger： Of course， Im a great animal. Im proud of myself.

Fox： I heard there was a Chinese called Liu Xiang. He can cover 110 meters in 10 seconds. Can you？

Tiger： Poor mankind！ How slow！ Wash your eyes！

The tiger pushes the fox away and runs fast.

Fox： See you！

The tiger sees the fox again and this time he becomes clever. The tiger hides behind big trees. When the fox passes by， he catches the fox rapidly.

Fox： Who？

Tiger： Your old friend！ Tiger！

Fox： Oh， how are you？

Tiger： Very very nice！ Now， I see my lunch. Delicious！

Fox： （Sneezes）Atishoo！ I admit Ive cheated you for 3 times. But， you know， its all for your sake.

Tiger： For my sake？

Fox： Yes. To tell the truth， Im not a normal fox！

Tiger： Im not a normal tiger， too.

Fox： I looked it up in the dictionary， and I know， in Chinese， they call me Guo Zi Li（果子貍）.

Tiger： Guo Zi Li？

Fox： Oh， I forget， you cant speak Chinese！

Tiger： Ha ha！ My mother always tells me： to learn a foreign language is very important！ Ive learnt Chinese in school！ Am I great！ Wait， what did you say？ What is your Chinese name？

Fox： Guo Zi Li.

Tiger： Guo Zi Li？ SARS？

Fox： （Nods）Yes！

Tiger： Ma ya！ （Leaves the fox three meters away at once and scrubs his hands）

From then on， the fox becomes the real king of the forest.

Fox： I am the king！ The tiger is afraid of me， coward（懦夫）！ I am the champion！

The fox goes out. Many other animals follow him. Now， the fox hears someone crying.

Fox： Ah， thats the stupid Tiger！
