聰明的農(nóng)夫

在我們熟悉的寓言故事中，善良的農(nóng)夫在寒冷的冬天用自己的身體去溫暖一條凍僵了的蛇，可是，蛇被救活了，農(nóng)夫卻被蛇咬死了。在今天的故事中，一個(gè)農(nóng)夫又遇見了蛇，他會(huì)怎么辦呢？他們之間又會(huì)發(fā)生怎樣的故事呢？Let’s read the story.

A farmer lives on a farm.

He is very clever（聰明的）.

And he likes helping（幫助） people.

It is winter now.

One day， the farmer goes to work.

On the way， he sees a snake.

“Help me！ My kind man，” says the snake.

“I’m so cold， I can’t move（動(dòng)彈）. Please help me.”

“How can I help you？” asks the farmer.

“You can put me in your clothes，” says the snake.

“No. You will eat me，” the farmer is afraid（害怕的）.

“Let me think.”

The farmer digs（挖） a hole in the field.

“You can sleep the whole winter in the hole，” says the farmer.

“Sorry， I don’t want to hibernate（冬眠），”says the snake.

The farmer gets a good idea.

He takes the snake home.

There is a warm stove（火爐） in his house.

The farmer puts the snake near the stove.

“Thank you. Oh， it’s so warm！ ” says the snake.

The snake can move now.

“I am alive（活的） now，” says the snake.

“Thank you， my kind man.”

“I am happy to save（拯救） you，” says the farmer.

“I feel hungry（饑餓的），” says the snake.

“Can I have something to eat？”

The farmer gives some food to the snake.

But the snake doesn’t like the food.

The farmer gets a good idea.

“There are many mice（老鼠） in my field，” says the farmer.

“You can catch them.

When you feel cold， you can come back home.”

The snake goes to the field.

It catches some mice.

“I am full now，” says the snake.

Then， it comes back to the farmer’s home.

“My kind man， can I live with you？” says the snake.

“Of course， you can，” says the farmer.

“I am happy to have a friend.”

The farmer has a harvest（豐收） the next year.

He and the snake become good friends.

They live happily together（一起）.
