IBM公司之前在阿姆斯特丹的Rieker商業(yè)園區(qū)已經(jīng)空置了11年之久，看上去已經(jīng)不適合再開發(fā)了。但是，隨著這里逐漸成為創(chuàng)意產(chǎn)業(yè)的新興公司和各類企業(yè)的熱門集散地，這個地方又重獲新生了。這棟大樓被設(shè)計成一個微型城市，內(nèi)部有街道、廣場、康樂設(shè)施、以及休閑娛樂場所。在這個框架下，各租戶通過對各自工作空間的設(shè)計，讓這個“城市”的發(fā)展更靈動。對于這些租戶來說，這棟大樓并不只是一個工作場所；它更是以交流互動和創(chuàng)造發(fā)現(xiàn)為特色的生態(tài)系統(tǒng)。

獨樹一幟的工業(yè)化外形、材料的循環(huán)再利用的特性以及良好的質(zhì)感，使得“生態(tài)系統(tǒng)”這一設(shè)計理念得以深化。主要特色之一是那道全新的入口，它是一個交流互通的場所，由前庭改造而成。用餐的地方位于頂層的綠色花園內(nèi)，旁邊還有一個蔬菜園和一些舊車子，可用作會議場所。B.阿姆斯特丹項目為2016年 Geurt Brinkgrevebokaal大獎和2017年NRP Gulden Feniks大獎的提名項目。

Having been vacant for 11 years, the former IBM premises in Rieker Business Park in Amsterdam seemed unsuitable for redevelopment. But now it has been given a new life as a hotspot for start-ups and companies from the creative sector. To this end, the building has been designed like a city, with streets, squares, amenities, and hospitality establishments. Within this framework, the building’s tenants dynamically contribute to the development of the city by way of their workspaces. For these users, the building is much more than just a workplace; it is an ecosystem characterized by interaction and discovery.

This vision for the building is reinforced by its distinctive, industrial look and feel, and by the reuse of materials. One of the main features is the new entrance, which has transformed the forecourt into a space for interaction and exchange. Restaurant Bureau on the roof is surrounded by a green roof park, with a vegetable garden and old cars which serve as meeting places.

B.Amsterdam has been nominated for the Geurt Brinkgreve Bokaal 2016 and the NRP Gulden Feniks award 2017.
