1. Any time cannot be wasted. (x) No time can be wasted. (√)

any及其相關(guān)詞（anybody、anyone和anything等）不可置于否定句的句首，此時若要表達“任何/任意……都不”的意思，須用“No+肯定式”的形式。

2. Anyone should avoid making these mistakes. (x) Everyone should avoid making these mistakes. (√)

當(dāng)要表示“全體人員”時，應(yīng)該用everyone或everybody。而要強調(diào)個人的時候，就可以用anyone或anybody了。如：Anyone can make such mistakes.（任何人都有可能犯這樣的錯誤。）。

3. Mr. Hopkins is, as it is, a walking dictionary. (x) Mr. Hopkins is, as it were, a walking dictionary. (√)

as it is 意為“按目前的狀況”或“事實上”，往往用來與“過去的期望”進行對照。如：We hoped she might make progress soon, but, as it is, her grade is worsening.（我們本希望她能夠很快進步，可事實上，她的成績卻一直在下降。）。as it were=so to speak，即“打比方”的意思，如例句就是把人比喻成了活字典。

the health/safety/security aspect 表示“健康/安全的方面”，指一個范疇。而healthy通常用來形容人或動物處于健康的狀況。

5. Children usually have a short attentive span. (x) Children usually have a short attention span. (√)

attentive是形容詞，意為“專心的”，如an attentive audience就是指“一群專心聽講的聽眾”，這個詞只能形容人，不能形容事物。而attention span是指“注意力的持續(xù)時間”，為固定用法。

6. Since 1948, Israel has never been in peace. (x) Since 1948, lsrael has never been at peace. (√)

in peace=peacefully，是副詞詞組，意為“和平地”或“安靜地”。如：I just want to have my dinner in peace.（我只是想要安安靜靜地享受我的晚餐。）。而be at peace/war /rest/work，則分別表示“處在和平/戰(zhàn)爭/休息/工作的狀態(tài)”，是形容詞的用法。
