It’s a hot summer. A mother duck is sitting on her eggs. She is waiting happily.
The baby ducklings come out one by one. But the biggest egg is still there. At last,the duckling comes out. This duckling is very big and ugly. So they all call him “Ugly Duckling”.
No one loves the ugly duckling. His brothers and sisters don’t want to play with him. The rooster says to his mother,“He is so ugly. He can’t be your child.” The ugly duckling is very sad,and he goes away.
