1. “it is+形容詞+that”句型

It is （very/quite） likely/possible/probable that ...

Its possible for sb. to do ...

Its not very likely/possible/probable that ...

Its unlikely/impossible that ...

Since he is a reliable man， its not very likely/possible/probable that he has stolen the money.

他是一個(gè)可靠的人，不太可能是他偷了錢(qián)。

Its unlikely/impossible that Danny will win the first prize.

Danny不可能得第一名。

2. there be句型

There is a possibility that ...

There is evidence that ... is an impossibility.

There is a possibility that he will turn teacher in the future.

很有可能他將來(lái)會(huì)當(dāng)一名老師。

There is a slim chance of her being found alive.

她活著被找到的幾率很小。

3. 情態(tài)動(dòng)詞

It could happen that ...

You may/might well do ... 表示“很有可能”

It could/would be possible for you to do ... if you ...

The place would probably suit you if you ...

It could happen that you encountered the last man you want to see in the lift.

你可能會(huì)在電梯里偶遇你最不愿意見(jiàn)到的人。

I must point out the risk that you may/might well lose your life if you are not cautious.

我必須指出你面臨的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)：如果你不小心，你很可能失去你的生命。

It could/would be possible for you to be admitted to Beijing University if you work hard.

如果你努力學(xué)習(xí)，你有可能被北大錄取。

The place would probably suit you if you like peaceful life.

如果你喜歡平靜的生活，那么那個(gè)地方很適合你。

4. chance的相關(guān)句型

There is a good/high chance that ... 表示“很有可能”

Chances are that ... 表示“很有可能”

There is a slim chance of doing ... 表示“機(jī)會(huì)渺?！?/p>

You dont have the slightest chance of doing ... 表示“不太可能”

You dont stand a chance of doing ... 表示“不太可能”。如：

You will stand a good chance of winning the match.

你贏得比賽的幾率很大。

You dont have the slightest chance of winning the match.

你贏得比賽的機(jī)會(huì)很渺茫。

Chances are that some children will drop out of school for lack of money.

很有可能一些孩子會(huì)因?yàn)槿卞X(qián)而輟學(xué)。

Dont carry all your money in cash. There is a good/high chance that you will have your money stolen while travelling.

不要把所有的現(xiàn)金帶在身上，很有可能在旅游時(shí)你的錢(qián)會(huì)被偷走。

5. 倒裝句

In no way/In no case/On no condition will we finish the work in one hour.

我們絕不可能在一小時(shí)內(nèi)完成這項(xiàng)工作。

6. 其他句型

Most probably/Perhaps I will ...

If possible ...

I am sure that ...

I doubt/am skeptical whether you will ...

Its out of the question for you to do ... 表示“不太可能”

I dont think you would do ... if you ...

Im afraid that ...

Most probably/Perhaps I will beat Tom.

很有可能我會(huì)打敗湯姆。

I doubt/am skeptical that you will reach the target if you idle away your time.

如果你這樣虛度時(shí)光，我懷疑你不會(huì)達(dá)到你的目標(biāo)。

I dont think youd enjoy yourself if you are so picky.

如果你那么挑剔，我認(rèn)為你肯定玩得不開(kāi)心。

Its out of the question for you to live on that island alone.

你一個(gè)人住在那座島上是不可能的。

Im afraid that it will let you down.

我恐怕那會(huì)讓你失望的。
