蜂蜜有顏色

To find out whether bees can see colors， the following experiment1 is made. A round table is put in a garden and on the table is a piece of blue cardboard2 with a drop of syrup3 on it. After a short time， bees come to the syrup. The bees then fly to their hive4 and give the syrup to the other bees in the hive. Then they return to the feeding-place which they have found. After a while， the blue cardboard with the syrup on it is taken away. Instead of this card， a blue card is now put on the left side of the first feeding-place and a red card to its right. These new cards have no syrup on them. Very soon bees arrive again， and fly straight to the blue card. None go to the red card. The experiment has proved5 that bees can see colors.

為了調(diào)查蜜蜂是否能夠識別顏色，有人做了以下實(shí)驗(yàn)：在花園里放上一張圓桌，把一張粘有糖漿的藍(lán)色硬紙板放在桌上。不久，蜜蜂被糖漿吸引過來了。接著蜜蜂飛向蜂房，把糖漿傳給蜂房里的其他蜜蜂。然后，它們又飛回它們發(fā)現(xiàn)糖漿的地方。過一段時(shí)間，粘有糖漿的藍(lán)色硬板被撤走了。我們用一張藍(lán)色卡片和一張紅色卡片把它替換掉，其中藍(lán)色卡片放在第一次覓食的位置的左邊，紅色卡片放在右邊。這些卡片上沒有糖漿。很快蜜蜂又一次回來了，它們徑直飛向了藍(lán)色卡片，而沒有一只蜜蜂飛向紅色卡片。這個(gè)實(shí)驗(yàn)證明了蜜蜂能夠識別顏色。
