    [Abstract]The geological exploring adit of Huanggou pumped storage power station is parallel to the tailwater tunnel,and is arranged between two tailwater tunnels.The rock body between the tunnels is thin and the fault joint is more developer.Water seepage will occur into the exploring adit along the fault and joint during operation. The thinnest rock body between the geological exploring adit and top arch of the powerhouse is only 2m.Water seepage will occur into powerhouse if the plugging treatment is failing,and even is worse to submerge the powerhouse when the geological exploring adit and the powerhouse are connected.The paper introduces the determination process of plugging scheme for the geological exploring adit of the Huanggou pumped storage power station,which could provides reference for design of similar project.

    [Abstract]The Fengman reservoir must ensure the uninterrupted downstream water supply in the construction period of Fengman hydropower station rebuild project.The discharge and diversion tunnel is taken as the standby convey for downstream water supply in construction period.Considering the model test results of flood discharge and diversion tunnel,the water supply and the tunnel operation requirements,and the influence of frozen thickness in freezing period,the control reservoir water level is determined for guaranteeing downstream water supply, which could provide basis for reasonable dispatching of reservoir in construction period.

    Application study of abrasion resistant concrete with UF500 cellulose fibers

    [Abstract]According to the abrasion problems for the sluice structure of Longkou hydro project under the high speed sediment-laden flow,an abrasion resistant concrete,meeting the design requirements,are formulated by adopting the silica fume instead of the part of the cement and incorporating the UF500 cellulose fiber.The results testing sample from the field construction further verify that the recommended mix proportion of concrete could meet the requirements of abrasion resistant and has good performance.

    Calculation of staging water environment capacity of Hun-Tai rivers basin

    [Abstract]Based on the present situation investigation and the design hydrological condition,taking the COD and ammonia nitrogen as the control indexes,the water environment capacity are calculated through the parameter design and model generalization for the rivers and the lakes and reservoirs in the Hun-Tai rivers basin.In calculation the one-dimensional water quality model is adopted to calculate the capacity for the rivers and the uniform mixing model is adopted to calculate the capacity for the lakes and reservoirs.Based on the determination of staging and zoning parameters of typical pollutant of the river basin,the water environment capacity of calculation unit is dynamically determined combined with the envelope characteristics of the water environment capacity.

    Application of Xin’anjiang-haihe model in Qingzhanghe river basin

    [Abstract]According to the characteristics of the drought condition of river channel in initial flood period in North China and the influence of human activity on runoff generation and flow concentration,the revised Xin’anjiang-haihe model is used in the Qingzhanghe river basin to simulated the runoff generation and flow concentration of Kuangmenkou station with multiyear flood data.The results show that,considering with the characteristics of Haihe river basin,the Xin’anjiang-haihe model adding the new parameters of underground water and initial loss of river channel could reach the forecast precision.The values of parameters are reasonable and the model structure is perfect.The forecast results with the higher eligibility rate of runoff than the flood peak are accord with the characteristics of Qingzhanghe river basin,the forecast of runoff could be put into the practical application.

    [Abstract]Through the spatial terrain data acquisition of Pangtoupao flood storage and detention area,the complete and accurate digital elevation model(DEM)of storage and detention area is developed,which could provide the reliable information basis and technical support for the building,management and scheduling decision of the flood storage and detention area.The digital topographic map with the scale of 1∶50000 is used for capturing the topographic data and editing and checking the data,then the DEM with correct hydrogeomorphic relations is established,and its quality is evaluated.The study results show,the DEM with correct hydrogeomorphic relations has the higher quality,which could reflect accurately and veritably the relation between the landform and geomorphology and the hydrology and meet the precision requirements of standard specification.

    Application of MATLAB in flood process homogeneous frequency enlargement calculation

    [Abstract]The homogeneous frequency enlargement method is one of the commonly used methods in the design flood hydrograph calculation.But the multiple proportions are different in each duration unit discharge in the calculation,the flood hydrograph need the multiple artificial adjustments after the enlargement.The hydrograph is easily over deformed and the calculation consumes the more time.In order to make the calculation result more objective and the process more efficient,the calculation tool of MATLAB software is used to obtain the design flood process with the least morphological difference of the typical flood process by through the program optimization calculation.Taking the design flood of a large reservoir in South Asia as an example,the paper introduces the application method of the optimization algorithm tool of MAT LAB software in the homogeneous frequency enlargement calculation of the design flood.
