1.At a scorching hot summer noon, a peddler was shouting in an open-air market, “Jars for sale. White and black ones.”
2.A blind man came over and asked the colors and price. The peddler told him: “2 yuan for the 6 white ones and the 3 yuan for the 3 black ones.”
3.The blind man paid 3 yuan to the peddler and wanted to buy a black jar. The sly peddler gave the blind man a white jar.
4.The blind man took it and blinked his dull eyes. He felt the jar in his hand and the others on the market stall carefully.
5.Suddenly, the blind man put it down and pointed at the peddler with his stick,“You are a dishonest salesman! You cheat me!”
6.The peddler knew he was in the wrong, so he had to give him a black one.But he was surprised: How could a blind man tell the difference between white and black? Little friends, do you know the reason?
