The song called Rebel Rebel is from David Bowie， a famous British master-level star of glam rock， who is my favorite. The first time I heard it， I was in my most rebellious teenage， and my love for it was for its strong spirit of rock： being rebellious and perseverant. I once insisted on that rock and tenderness were two contradictories， until I came across rock floral design. At that time I began to view the rock spirit from a new perspective.

這是我最愛的英國著名華麗搖滾宗師David Bowie的一首歌《rebel rebel》，最早聽到的時候是在青春最叛逆的時期，喜歡它是因為里面強烈的搖滾精神：反叛、不妥協(xié)。我也曾固執(zhí)地認為搖滾與柔情是完全不相容的兩件事，直到我第一次接觸到搖滾花藝，才讓我對搖滾精神又有了新的認識。

Rock and floral design， seeing these two words， a sense of disharmony appeared in my mind. Isn’t floral design something soft and beautiful？ It should be that a tender and sweet girl strokes every flower quietly. But rock is restless and wild and what will the picture be when these two things are combined？ I cannot help but imagine a picture like this： dry scapes and a cluster of black roses which are blossoming wildly.

With strong curiosity， my companion Fanita and I come to Cohim in 798 of Beijing and participate in the salon activity themed “Rock Floral Design”. We are ready to reveal the truth of “Rock Floral Design”.

Once we arrive at the venue， we are eager to find the elements in our mind that are related to rock. Where are the black flowers？ Where are the wild scapes？ Where are the pierced girls？ But what appear are a bunch of shining sunlight， colorful flowers put in vases， beautiful and sweet girls and soft words. All these make us surprised. Then what is called rock floral design. There is no rock at all.

I believe when you see this， you will have the same question. Don’t worry， the truth is coming.

搖滾，花藝，當這兩個詞出現(xiàn)在眼前的時候，我腦子里出現(xiàn)了一種很別扭的違和感。花藝，不是一件柔美的事嗎？一個柔情似水的女子安安靜靜地撫慰著每一朵美麗的花?？蓳u滾，躁動、狂野，這兩個放在一起，是怎樣的一個畫面？繼而我腦子里又不自覺地幻象出這樣一副畫面：枯枯的干枝，一簇狂野的黑色玫瑰狂野地綻放著。

帶著強烈的好奇，我和同伴人飯子來到了北京798的中赫時尚參加主題為“搖滾花藝”的沙龍活動。我們準備好要揭開“搖滾花藝”的真相。

剛剛來到活動地點，我們就迫不及待地尋找腦中出現(xiàn)的所有與搖滾有關(guān)的元素。黑色的花在哪里？狂野的枝在哪里？耳鼻舌打釘?shù)呐釉谀睦?？可真正出現(xiàn)在眼前的是，一抹燦爛的陽光，安好地放在瓶中的各色的花，長相甜美的女子，還有言語的溫柔。這讓我們大跌眼鏡，那為什么叫搖滾花藝呢？根本沒有搖滾啊。

相信你看到這里，也會有一樣的疑問。別著急，真相在后頭。

They are Athena and Mairead， floral designers from Britain. The concept of “rebel rebel” was put forward by them. However， they do not wear clothes full of pins or pin them in their faces！ Besides， can you imagine that they are grandmothers？ Their sense of fashion， elegance and vitality make Fanita and I fans of them.

The two teachers tell us while they are demonstrating the floral design that， “The flowers for rock floral design are all natural. You can adopt anything you find beautiful to floral design.” They say， “We are not going to walk towards Punk， but to put Punk into our life. In order not to live a normal and regular life， we decide to cooperate， run a representative flower shop and show the best moment of flowers to people. We respect every flower， and how flowers grow in nature， how we design them！”

We get to know that rock spirit here is being natural. The flowers should follow their heart and grow naturally.

這是來自英國的花藝師Athena和Mairead，搖滾花藝“rebel rebel”的理念就是她們創(chuàng)造的。不過，她們并沒有穿那些別滿別針的衣服，也沒把它們別在臉上！而且，你能想象出她們已經(jīng)是奶奶輩的人了嗎？她們散發(fā)的時尚、優(yōu)雅、青春活力讓我和人飯子已經(jīng)把她們奉為偶像。

兩位老師在做示范的時候，告訴我們：“搖滾花藝的花材，全部取自自然。使用任何你覺得好看的東西，都可以用在花藝當中。”她倆說：“這不是要向Punk靠近，而是把Punk放進自己的生活里。為了不循規(guī)蹈矩的生活，我們決定合伙，經(jīng)營一家最具有代表性的花店，把花最美好的時刻，展現(xiàn)給人們，尊重每一朵花，花在自然中是如何生長，我們就如何設(shè)計這些花！”

原來搖滾精神在這里就是自然的意味。順從個性，自然生長。

The rock floral design we are going to do today is called “Bouquet on Legs—bouquet that grows on legs”. It is the classical huge bouquet designed by Rebel Rebel， and its inspirations came from a customer who did everything he wanted. The customer wanted to buy a bouquet worthing 400 pounds as a present for his girlfriend. According to his request， Athena and Mairead finished this work， took a picture of the raised bouquet and got the “Bouquet on Legs”！

These flowers are piled in their hands and a bouquet becomes the heartiest thing in the winter. Rock does not mean being rebellious and floral design is not equal to sweetness. We have experienced the process of getting a new concept of rock spirit. Then we will let the pictures talk.

Before starting， Fanita and I are very confident， because it seems to be very easy， and isn’t putting the flowers as we like the rock spirit？ However， it is not something so easy when we get down to doing it.

今天我們要做的搖滾花藝的名字就是這一款叫做“Bouquet on Legs——長在腿上的手捧花”。這是Rebel Rebel原創(chuàng)的經(jīng)典巨型手捧，它的靈感來自于一位任性的客戶。這位客戶要求一束價值400英鎊的手捧花送給自己的女朋友。依照他的需求，Athena和Mairead完成了這束作品，并且高高地舉著拍下了照片，成就了這款“Bouquet on Legs”！

看著這些花材在老師的手中堆疊，一款手捧成就了花朵在這個冬天中最硬朗的存在。搖滾不等于叛逆，花藝不等于甜美。我們經(jīng)歷了這個重新認識搖滾精神的過程。接下來讓我們用照片說話。

做之前，我和人飯子信心滿滿，看上去就是件很簡單的事情么，而且要發(fā)揚隨心所欲的搖滾精神，就是隨意地把喜歡的花放在一起就好啦。可真正做起來并不是件簡單的事。

The first step is to choose flowers. In order to make them beautiful， the extra scapes on the bottom should be cut off. But there is no specific rule as for what to choose and what not to choose， we need to do it according to our moods.

The flowers should be added up gradually. With the flowers increasing， my left hand is already struggling…… the teachers say that， the key of rock floral design is to fit the personality of each flower and to arrange them in their natural directions. For example， the tulip is turning right， so it should be piled in the hands according to its direction of growing.

Look， the bouquet is getting larger and larger. Since we have not had experience before， the bouquet looks messy and loose in our hands. The teachers come and give us some instructions， that there is no specific rule of rock floral design. If there is， it is to respect the personality of each flower and make some space to blossom and stretch for each of them when they go with each other. However， I am still curious， since it is natural floral design， shouldn’t we be totally obedient to nature？ Then no cutting should be done by people. The teachers say that though rock floral design needs to respect the will of freedom， the freedom should be suitable. Cutting should be given to them while giving them enough space to blossom， because the growing space for other flowers should also be considered. Only in this way can they grow together in harmony.

第一步就是要選花材，為了美觀，要把底下多余的花枝剪掉。但是選什么不選什么，沒有特定的規(guī)則，就是要順從自己的心境來做。

花材要一點點地加上去。看現(xiàn)在手里的花越來越多了，我的左手已經(jīng)在掙扎……老師說，搖滾花藝最重要的就是要順從每一朵花的個性，按著它的自然方向插，比如這朵郁金香，它的花朵是向右的，那就按它的生長方向在手里堆疊。

看，手里的花簇越變越大。由于第一次做沒有經(jīng)驗，手里的花束總感覺有些凌亂松散。老師過來指導說，搖滾花藝本沒有什么固定的插花規(guī)則，如果有，那么最重要的就是尊重每一朵花的個性，讓它們搭配在一起的時候各有各的綻放空間，舒展，自然?？墒?，我還是很好奇，既然是自然花藝，那豈不是應該完全順從自然？就不應該經(jīng)過人工的修剪啊。老師說，搖滾花藝雖然尊重自由意志，但是，還是有節(jié)制的自由，給予它足夠的綻放空間的同時，也要修剪，因為要照顧到其它花材的存在空間，這樣它們才能和諧且自由地生長在一起。

It is a bouquet that is about to be finished. If my hands are not so small， it can be much larger. If you ask what the mood of finishing rock floral design is， well， it is sooooo rock！

It is the following step， which is to cut off the scapes under the where they are held. The scapes are difference in thickness， the thick ones cannot be cut off by ordinary scissors and professional ones are needed. So we know that rock floral design is also “manual labor”.

這是即將完成的花捧，鑒于我的手太小，不然花捧還可以變得更大。要問第一次做搖滾花藝的心情，怎么說呢，就是很搖滾！

這是接下來的一步，就是把手中握點以下的枝干剪平整?？吹绞掷锏闹Ω捎写钟屑?，那粗的一般的剪刀都剪不斷，需要專業(yè)的剪刀。搖滾花藝也是個“體力活兒”。

The next step is wrapping. Transparent plastic wrapping is used to wrap along the scapes from its four tops. Unlike the complicated traditional way， it is simpler and more natural.

To make it beautiful， make a bowknot to where the wrapping bundles the scapes up tight.

接下來的過程就是包裝了，用透明的塑料包裝紙四個角一點點順著枝干包上去。不像傳統(tǒng)的花藝包裝那么復雜，它更簡潔、自然。

然后為了好看，在包裝紙收口的地方系上蝴蝶結(jié)。

It is our maiden work： shinning “Bouquet on Legs” of the floral design！ Though due to inadequate experience the flowers are not well arranged and kind of loose， when we see the bouquet in our hands， we feel very happy. It is more important that whatever the result is， the feel of doing what we like and respecting our wills in the process is excellent！

This kind of floral design is elegant and natural. No matter its way of color adoption， method of designing or choice of materials makes the work fluent as what nature does. It is because natural things are vital and explanations of beauty. Only if we have the right attitudes， the most normal materials can be used to develop new forms of beauty and art.

After we return， we listen to Rebel Rebel again and get new idea of rock. Rock can be tender， freedom does not mean rebellious and individualization does not mean unconventional. Being natural， just yourself and free at ease is the real rock spirit！

這就是，最終我們的處女秀：搖滾花藝之“Bouquet on Legs”閃亮登場！雖然第一次經(jīng)驗不足，花插得不夠均勻，有些空洞，但是誕生在自己手中的花捧，拿著心情就是萌萌噠。更重要的是，不管結(jié)果怎樣，在做的過程中，那種隨心所欲，尊重自我意志的感覺很棒！

這種搖滾花藝給人的感覺是優(yōu)雅的、不做作。無論是其色彩運用、設(shè)計手法還是材料的選擇都使作品看起來如同大自然巧奪天工般的流暢。也是這樣，自然的東西都是極具生命力的，都是關(guān)于美的解釋。只要有正確的態(tài)度，即使用最普通的材料也能夠開發(fā)出新的關(guān)于美和藝術(shù)的形式。

回來之后，我們再次聽《rebel rebel》，又有了新的認識。搖滾可以溫柔，自由不一定反叛，個性不一定另類。自在、做自己、順其自然才是真正的搖滾精神！
