\"We are burying our own culture one spade after another.\" Sun Jiazheng, former Chinese Cultural Minister sighed a few years ago. However, this phenomenon is still occurring at the moment. On August 15, domestic branches of both the China Great Wall Society and the All-China Journalists Association jointly held a symposium where relevant departments outspoke growing deterioration of the Great Wall due to human acts in recent years.
Cultural heritage is undoubtedly an important part of a country's history. As far as the Great Wall is concerned, it will be unbearably burdened by whether intentional or unintentional man-made destruction.
