馬克·扎克伯格是美國社交網(wǎng)站Facebook的創(chuàng)辦人，被人們冠以“蓋茨第二”的美譽。哈佛大學(xué)計算機(jī)和心理學(xué)專業(yè)輟學(xué)生，是2008年全球最年輕的單身巨富，也是歷來全球最年輕的自行創(chuàng)業(yè)億萬富豪。據(jù)悉，盡管扎克伯格擁有億萬身家，但他至今仍和女友生活在一套租來的住房里；為了能在2010年年底帶普莉希拉·陳到中國度假，扎克伯格每天早晨都跟家庭教師學(xué)說漢語。

Mark Elliot Zuckerberg， the founder of Facebook， was born in 1984 in New York. Zuckerberg began using computers when he was in middle school. His father taught him the BASIC Programming in the 1990s and later hired David Newman， an private computer program teacher， to develop his skills. Newman called him a “genius”. The teacher even said that it was tough to stay ahead of him. When he was in high school， he also took an extra class in the subject at Mercy College near his home. Zuckerberg enjoyed developing computer programs， especially communicating tools and games. In one such program， he built a software program “ZuckNet” to help his father stay in touch with his dentists. According to writer Jose Antonio Vargas， “Mark created the computer games that kids played.”

During Zuckerbergs high school years， he built a music player called Synapse Media Player and was widely used by many high school students. By then， Zuckerberg had won a good fame and Microsoft tried to employed him， but he chose to enter Harvard University in September 2002. By the time he began classes at Harvard， he had already been regarded as a genius in programming. During his second year in Harvard， he wrote a program called CourseMatch to help students with their selection in groups. A short time later， he created a different program called Facemash that let students make choice of the best looking face of some photos and there would be a ranking. The racing lasts about a weekend but was shut down on Monday Morning. For it was so popular that it was out of Harvards control. Then students were prevent from accessing the website. Zuckerbergs roommates Hasit explaned that Zuckerberg built the site just for fun. Hasit remembered， “Mark decided that if the university wont do something about it， he would. And he would build a site that would be even better than what the university had.” Zuckerberg launched Facebook from his Harvard dormitory room on February 4， 2004. And on July 21， 2010， Zuckerberg reported that the number of the website members reached to 500 million.

Vanity Fair magazine named Zuckerberg number 1 on its 2010 list of the “most influential people of the Information Age”. Zuckerberg ranked number 23 in 2009. In 2010， Zuckerberg was chosen as number 16 in New Statesmans annual survey of the worlds 50 most influential figures.

“浮華世界”（Vanity Fair） 雜志在2010年把扎克伯格列為“資訊時代中最有影響力”的第一人。扎克伯格在2009年時排行還是第23。2010年，扎克伯格也被New Statesman的世界50大影響力年度調(diào)查選為16名。
