“Hey! Mary, look what I found!” Marion shouted* excitedly(興奮地).
“Oh! What’s that?” Mary asked with her eyes wide open.
“It is a purple wishing bottle(許愿瓶)!” Marion answered, “And there is some purple air in it. It looks magical(有魔力的)! Maybe(也許) if you write your wish* and put it into the bottle, it will become true immediately(立刻)!”
That’s cool! Let me have a try(試一試)!” Mary grabbed(搶奪) the wishing bottle from Marion’s arms and played with it.
Marion took it back quickly, and said with a bit(一點(diǎn)) unhappiness(不高興), “NO WAY! I found this bottle, and I should have a try! The bottle inside(里面) is purple, and my dress is purple, too. It’s mine!”
These words could really drive Mary mad*. Then she yelled back at* Marion, “How could you be so selfish(自私的)?”
“Oh! So what? Now I found the bottle, so I have the right(權(quán)利) to use* it. And that’s fair(公平的)! Not selfish!” Marion was very angry*.
“Well, I have a perfect* idea. What if(假如) we both* write a wish?” Mary said.
“That’s good!” Marion agreed(同意).
When they were writing wishes on the paper, Marion opened the top(蓋子) of the bottle. Suddenly(突然) they were pulled into(卷進(jìn)) the bottle.
“What happened*?” Marion got very nervous*, “We are not wishes!”
“Don’t worry! It’s so beautiful here! Aha! I like to stay in the bottle.” Mary was very happy.
“Mary! But I’m hungry!” Marion didn’t feel happy.
“I have an idea. Let’s sleep. Maybe you will not feel hungry while you are sleeping.”
“Maybe you are right!” Marion said, “It is just like a fairyland(仙境) here.”
Then they fell asleep*...
