“To fall out” means to become loose and drop.掉落，脫落

◆His hair is falling out after medical therapy.他接受藥物治療后，頭發(fā)在脫落。

◆My tooth finally fell out.我的一顆牙終于掉了。

“To fall through” means to not be completed or not happen.落空，失敗

◆Our plans fell through because of lack of money.我們的計(jì)劃由于缺錢而落空了。

◆The party is going to fall through as most of the guests are not available.由于大部分的賓客都不能來(lái)，晚會(huì)不得不取消了。

“To fall for something” means to be tricked into believing something that is not true.信以為真

◆ I’m surprised you fell for that trick.我感到驚奇，你竟中了那個(gè)詭計(jì)。

◆ Don’t fall for his words.He is a cheater.不要相信他的話。他是個(gè)騙子?！癟o fall about” means to laugh a lot.捧腹大笑，笑得前仰后合

◆David made a joke so funny that we all fell about laughing.大衛(wèi)講的笑話太好笑了，我們都笑得前仰后合。

“To fall on” also means to take responsibility for somebody or something.（責(zé)任）落在……身上；由……負(fù)擔(dān)

◆The full cost of the wedding fell on the bride’s parents.整個(gè)婚禮的費(fèi)用由新娘的父母承擔(dān)了。

◆Looking after his younger brother fell on him when he was only 12.他只有十二歲就要負(fù)責(zé)照顧弟弟了。

“To fall apart” means to be in very bad condition so that parts are breaking off.散架，破碎

◆I have told you not to loan your car to Peter.Now you can’t complain about it falling apart.我已經(jīng)告訴你不要把你的車借給彼特?，F(xiàn)在車要散架了，你不能埋怨。

◆I am sorry to keep you waiting as the printer is falling apart.很抱歉要您久等了，打印機(jī)出了毛病。

“To fall for someone” means to be strongly attracted to somebody or to fall in love with somebody.愛(ài)上，傾心于

◆ They fell for each other instantly.他倆一見(jiàn)鐘情。

◆The fans who had fallen for the handsome actor screamed and yelled at the premiere.影迷們對(duì)那位英俊的演員充滿愛(ài)慕之情，在首映禮上大喊大叫。

“To fall on” means to attack or take hold of somebody or something with a lot of energy.襲擊，撲向（某人 /某物）

◆ The villagers fell on the thief with sticks.村民們用棍棒襲擊小偷。

◆The children fell on the food and ate it greedily.孩子們撲向食物，狼吞虎咽地吃起來(lái)。

“To fall apart” also means to have so many problems that it is no longer possible to exist or function.破裂，崩潰

◆ Their marriage finally fell apart.他們的婚姻最終破裂了。

◆The deal fell apart when we failed to agree on a price.我們?cè)趦r(jià)格上未能達(dá)成一致意見(jiàn)，生意吹了。
