英語中used to…, be used to…, be used to do…, be used for/as… 等用法容易混淆，現(xiàn)將其歸納對比,以助分辨與記憶：
1. used to do sth.
used to只有過去式，可用于各種人稱的單、復(fù)數(shù)，表示過去存在的但現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)停止的情況或習(xí)慣，后接動詞原形。例如：
He used to go home by bike. 他過去常常騎自行車回家。
The river used to be clean. 這條河以前是干凈的。
The old man used to get up early. 那位老人過去起床很早。
used to 的否定句常用didnt use to 或used not to; 疑問句常用Did…use to…?或Used（you) to…?。例如：
He didnt use to go home by bus. 他過去不常坐公共汽車回家。
Did you use to be a teacher?=Used you to be a teacher?
你過去是老師嗎？
2. be used to+sth./doing sth.
be used to 中to是介詞，后面接名詞或v-ing, 其中be有各種時態(tài)的變化形式，表示“習(xí)慣于（做）……”。例如：
Im not quite used to the weather here yet.
我還不太習(xí)慣這里的天氣。
He is used to traveling by train. 他習(xí)慣坐火車旅行。
You will be used to the work in a short time.
你不久就會習(xí)慣這個工作的。
She isnt used to staying up late at night. 她不習(xí)慣熬夜。
Youll soon be/get/become used to our way of living.
你不久就會習(xí)慣我們的生活方式的。
3. be used to do sth.
be used to do sth.表示“被用來做某事”，是use sth. to do sth.的被動形式。例如：
This knife is used to cut bread. 這個刀子是用來切面包的。
Coal can be used to keep warm. 煤可以用來取暖。
4. be used for+sth./doing sth.
be used for中，for為介詞，后接名詞或v?鄄ing, 表示“……被用來干某事”，與be used to do sth.同義。例如：
A stamp is used for sending letters. 郵票用來寄信。
A bookshelf is used for storing books. 書架用來儲藏書。
5. be used as…
be used as… 表示“作為……被使用”，as是介詞，后面接名詞。例如：
This room is used as their office. 這個房間被用作他們的辦公室。
But it is also used very widely as a foreign language in many other countries.
但在世界上許多其他國家里它(英語)也作為一種外語被廣泛使用。
The box can be used as a table. 這箱子可以用來當(dāng)桌子。
6. be used by sb.
be used by sb. 表示“……被某人使用”。例如：
This reading?鄄room is only used by teachers.
這個閱覽室只供老師使用。
This computer is only used by Mr. Brown.
這臺電腦只供布朗先生使用。
