英國雙胞胎結(jié)婚被判無效

A British couple have been forced to annul their marriage by the High Court- after they found out that they were twins.

一對英國夫婦在發(fā)現(xiàn)他們竟然是雙胞胎兄妹后被迫離異。

The couple， who have not been publicly named， were adopted by different families at birth and never knew of the others' existence. Details of their marriage have not been released， but it is known that they were unaware of the relationship until recently.

該對兄妹在出生后被不同的家庭收養(yǎng)，他們從不知道彼此的存在。有關(guān)這對兄妹如何得以成婚及如何知道自己身世的細節(jié)并未公開，兩人的身份也都保密。

British peer David Alton told the story to Parliament， during a debate on artificial conception. He used the twins' case to support his arguments that children conceived through methods such as surrogacy and in-vitro fertilisation should be told who their biological parents are.

英國上議院議員戴維#8226;奧爾頓在法案辯論中講述了該則奇聞并援引該例來證明自己認為讓兒童了解生身父母的權(quán)利的必要性的觀點。

He told newspapers that he had heard the story from a High Court judge who had dealt with the case. \"This is not a story about people born through in-vitro fertilisation. It involved the normal birth of twins who were separated at birth and adopted into different families. They were never told that they had a twin. They met later in life and felt an inevitable attraction， and the judge had to deal with the consequences of the marriage that they had entered in to.\"

Alton later told the BBC News website that the twin's story raises the wider issue of the rights of children to know the identities of their biological parents.
